A view of the lock. The lock is marked with the King's Cypher. To be correct for a pre-1793 impression, you should file off the lock markings. This style of musket goes back to the 1750's, but not with govenment markings. A musket of this type was picked up on the night of the Boston Massacre, it was likely a ship's musket. |
