Here is our Ship's Carbine. This is a light, handy musket that was designed for use between decks on ships where low overheads made handling longer, full length muskets a problem.

It is styled after the India Pattern type Brown Bess, but has a much shorter barrel. The barrel length on this carbine is 26" in .75 caliber smoothbore. The overall length is 42".

It has brass furniture and the lock has British markings. There are also British markings on the barrel. As a military musket, it come equipped with sling swivels and a bayonet lug. It has a steel rammer.
