The 1717 French Infantry Flintlock Musket was the first standardized French military musket.
It has steel furniture, a wooden rammer and the lock & barrel have St Ettienne inspection marks on them. The barrel is 46" long in .69 caliber smoothbore.
Unlike later French military guns, the barrel is pinned to the stock and the single barrel band is simply a place to mount the forward sling swivel.
