This tool was called a common screwdriver by Timothy Pickering. It was a commonly found item in the British army as well as in the militia. There are two different sizes of screwdrivers and a punch arranged in a Y shape that lays flat at the back of your shooting bag or cartridge box.
There is also a worm that is carried as a part of this authentic tool, the worm screws onto the punch portion of the tool for safekeeping.
After doing some research on the original tools that were dug up at Saratoga battlefield, we have redesigned these tools to include the worm and will be uploading new photos when we get a chance. Similar tools have been around for years, but to our knowledge this the first time it has been reproduced correctly.
