This is our East India Pattern Flintlock Musket. Developed in the 1750's for the East India Company to arm it's ships and private army, the pattern was officially adopted by the British Board of Ordianance in 1793, replacing the Short Land Pattern.
It has a 39" barrel in .75 caliber smoothbore.
This is also known as a "third model Brown Bess" by modern collectors. It has brass furniture and a steel rammer.
